upper gi and small bowel though
Question:
Apart from the problems mentioned by others replying to your message, I also discovered that if the toilet does not flush totally, there can be a white deposit in the bottom of the pan for several days. At first, I thought it was my own output, til I realised it was "leftovers". Thanks, I too have had it many times. But never this stuff sparkles. And I am on disability so extra clothes is not a major problem for me since I am pretty much homebound. But thanks again for the advice. UM MOM Susan

As long as you’re passing something you should be ok. I’ve had the barium "test" 6 times and once it hardened in my intestines. I ended up in emergency and had about a dozen enemas and the a gallon of the "go lightly" to flush the damn stuff out. Drink lots water and carry around an extra pair of underpants or two for a while (just in case). roreilly at merr dot com "Not true at all. Vaseline is manufactured right here in the United States." It’s a good thing they didn’t tell me not to burp after taking sprinkles. I was loud enough to break windows!
Now I can see why they would say don’t fart though! Sorry couldn’t help it. LOL UM MOM Susan

Susan, I just had the test on Tuesday and am still expelling barium. Apparently there is a motility issue. Drink lots and lots of water, that will help. My pain is located at the anastamosis site. This was the first time I did not have the sprinkles, thank god. They always say put these down your throat drink this drop of liquid and don’t burp. DON’T BURP???? are you nuts lol. I think you will be ok, just keep drinking those liquids. If I still have some pain tomorrow will check with doc just to be sure. Isn’t life great? I just wanted to know if anyone else had severe pain when using the pottie to expell the barium? I had it yesterday with a very thick barium and the two thin bariums along with 2 oz of water with what the call sprinkles.
