Response:

I saw a show on the discovery channel the other night about worms. Apparently they are using them on a trial basis for colitis and IBS and have had great results.  They are going to try it with people who have MS next and then other people with other autoimmune diseases like asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. They give a solution of 2000 sterilized pig worm larva. The person’s immune system clicks in and goes after the worms leaving the person feeling better. (I’m not too technical here!) They pointed out that people in more undeveloped countries where worms are more prevelant, have a very low rate of MS etc than we do. I don’t know that I could ever drink anything that is going to give me worms, even to get rid of the RA. I hope they find a better answer than this.
