Amy: I’m very interested in your problems with your j-pouch as I have been thinking about having this procedure done for my UC. Please e-mail me or post your story. I’m sure others would be interested as well. Thanks, Rebecca :-) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Hi all, > I was diagnosed with ulcertive colitis a few years back. Hi all, I was diagnosed with ulcertive colitis a few years back. Medications didn’t help and I had to have my colon removed. At the same time it was removed, the surgeon did a procedure where he took part of the small intestine and made an internal J-pouch which would serve as a make-shift colon. I had a temporary ileostomy for six months, which was reversed once the J-pouch healed and became able to do its job. I was just wondering if there were any others out there who had this type of procedure done because I need someone to talk to about it. I’m having lots of problems. Sometimes I wish I’d never gone thru with the surgery. Hope to hear from someone. Thank you for your time, Amy
