Question:
What would you like to know? So far I’m very happy. I’m not tied to the bathroom, and even though the ileostomy is really freaky, I know it’s only temporary. Even if something were to happen that would make it permanent, this is much better than having colitis. My UC was never in remission, not once for the fifteen months I was sick, and the prednisone that I am finally getting off (down to 10 mgs now!) was starting to do really awful things to me. If anyone would like to know more, feel free to e-mail me privately or post to the group. I have found this place to be an enormous help. -Joclyn – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – > Jocelyn,Congrats! As an alumna, you’re still entitled to post — but you have to wear a silly green cap on your head, carry an oversized rubber sickle, and whenever you read a post from somebody who hasn’t had surgery yet, you have to respond, "Repent and mend your ways! The end is near!" and then sing a verse of any Gilbert & Sullivan patter song. Oh, and when you post here, you’ll have to list your title as "post-here-ior."
