i'm home again
Question:
hello all,this is elaine.it’s been ages since i last wrote.i’m now trying to recover from surgery.i spent 5 weeks in the hospital.they did all sorts of tests along with the same tests that i’ve had before.they did the remicade and it didn’t work for me.so i had one-third of my colon removed along with my appendix.man, those staples do hurt !!! i was really scared to have it done . but i’m thankful that i have such a great gi doctor and surgeon.doctor said that my chrones is in remission, but i have colitis and ibd.some luck huh.oh well it can always be worse.just glad to be home again.they still need to regulate my meds.the good part is that they took me off of the prednisone completely.my meds have slimmed down to only six different pills now,used to be ten.will try to post more later when i can.take care all.–elaine

Dear Elaine, So glad to hear from you again. I am so sorry that the road for you has been rough. But it does sound like it is getting better, slowly, but getting better. Just being off of Pred. is a major advantage! Congratultions there!! As you heal, you will feel better. So glad your medications are cut down so much.
