All I can say is, at the risk of sounding corny, I believe you are one of those people that God has a special plan for.  It is a miracle, in my book anyway, that you are still with us.  I thank God you are.  I just had to get that said.  I am so happy to hear that you feel so well now.  May God continue to bless you.  Please keep us posted on your progress. Always,   Margie CD Class of 67 UC Class of 96

Are you talking about the abdominal aorta? I was asking this info for a friend who had this heart aorta surgery. Thanks for your time and sorry if I miscommunicated. Health to you, Lisa

Would also like to find out if there is a message board for cardiology or heart ailments? Anyone know?

Response:

I had surgery on 7/3 … the aortic valve had been blocked for at least 4 years and I had four hospitalized episodes of ischemic colitis.  Since I got to the hospital three days into my 4th session, they decided to operate … they rerouted the aortic valve and removed 1/3 my colon.  I came home in six days (today is day 13 after surgery) and am feeling much better than I have in years.
