When I went in for both of my colonoscopies they removed 7 polyps the first time and 3 more polyps the following year …… Its best for them to take them out to examine them to see if they are cancerous …… plus in my case, they used them for my diagnosis of Collagenous Colitis , which is a Microscopic Colitis … and not seen visually only by biopsies … But then I had the (I think it is called) a polypectomy done at the same time as my colonoscopy in day surgery at the hospital Love & Peace Maryjo
