question doctors cannot answer, help ?
Question:
Walking helps my colitis alot. The more I walk, the better I feel. I think cause of my colitis is ruptured disk in my spine. The nerves are disturbed that go to the colon. When I sit for along time or pick up something heavy I start feeling bad. Stan – walking is an excellant exercise. Exercise in general helps move thing through the bowels. But walking uses the legs which are major muscles groups and have effect on the torso, which of course houses the intestines. Also it promotes deeper breathing. Breathing move the diaphram which stimulates the intestines as well. So it is really a very good exercise. I love walking, especially if there are some hills. Keep it up. Regards, Jeff 2

Hi all When I feel off colour and what I reckon is when the bowel of mine is flaring up, or giving me a partial bowel blockage (had a full one last Jan 2003) and their is inflammation in area where I had surgery. I get these little black things in toilet paper which are no bigger than a pin head or I see what looks like tiny bits if food not digested. I do have small gallstones, but am not getting any pain on right ride, do get a lot at base of left shoulder, but that is being attributed to bowell moving around and pressing on nerves in my spine. For which I am getting a medial branch block done this Tuesday. Any ideas what little things migt be? Thnks Phil
